Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Nothing but Fighting Game Goodness
If you're a fan of any of the classic 2-D fighters (Street Fighter, Samurai Showdown, any of the Neo Geo fighters) your ship has come in. GG Accent Core is chock full of all the things that made these games great (combo's, air juggles, varied characters, weapon combats, interesting and varied super moves, ultimate super moves, etc.)

Pro's:
-Many fighters: this game is packed with a varied cast of fighters with their own feel, moves, and strategies. No palette swaps here! (take that Ken and 50% of the MK series!)
-Solid combo and air juggle system. The combo's are pure Street Fighter approved goodness with out the gratuitous multi hits of some of the later capcom fighters (8 hits for an uppercut connecting? Nope, you gotta earn 8 hits the hard way here.)
-Combo breakers, fall breaks, get ups, and reversals: the amount of choices you have to counter your opponents strategies and combo's is both refreshing and not overdone - you can't simply nullify a combo like in MK:Armagedon or Killer Instinct, but you can force your way out of most damaging combo's or lessen the impact/damage of your opponents offense.
-Super moves and Super Supers: each character has a good variety of moves that fit their fighting style or weapon, and a tension guage allows you to build up to a variety of ultimate super moves that can change the diretion of a match without being incredibly cheap or over powered.
-Instant Kills: Things getting desperate in a match? Risk it all on an instant kill move that can decide the match for you, or put you in a seriously bad situation if you screw it up.

Cons:
-No filler. If you enjoy the story driven fighters like DBZ or Naruto, you're not going to be pleased with GG:AC. So far as I can tell there is no ending story for each character and if you want to understand why these guys are bashing each other up, you're going to need the internet and some research skills.
-Balance Issues: most characters are capable, but some seem to have gotten extra love (Ky, Sol, Slayer) while some seem to have gotten less (Baiken, Johnny, Axl.) They still are competitive, but they have nowhere near as many moves and ultimates as the stars of the show.
-Difficulty Spike: The first character you fight, you will beat like a drum no matter what your skill. The second to last character you face will require all your skill. The boss, Ino, will beat you like your controller is unplugged, no matter how good you are. She has 4 (4!) ultimate moves that hit for greater than 50% damage. She makes M. Bison look like an amateur when it comes to vicious offense.

Overall, GG:AC has the best fighting in town. There are two side modes, a versus and training mode, and a limited number of unlockable content. The game also includes the ability to choose from 3 other super/ultimate styles from the earlier games (adding and subtracting various functions like reversals or additional air super moves.) The detractions that will turn the most players off is the lack of story and online multiplayer, but Wii owners have not yet come to expect online like Xbox users.

So,ultimately, the decision to get into the GG: Accent Core boat is whether you enjoy rock solid, skill based fighting like the 2-d classics, or you prefer the easier anime brawlers that focus on story rather than mechanics.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great 2d fighter
best wii fighter. guilty gear is like street fighter but better. a must play for arcade fighter fans. but i do recommend getting the wii fighting stick with it because it adds to the expirence.
