Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - XBoX 360 bad design overheats because of 3-corechip
When MSFT designed Xbox 360 they want max performance but they did little else. The console was poorly designed. Console enclosure, air ventilation and cooling designs are not getting the job done, which is to keep heat out of the console

360 comes with a 3-core powerpc chip from IBM that produce a lot of heat but look at the box it is basically a slim line computer case, they got all that goodies packed in there baking like a mini-oven.

PS3 comes with a 9-core distributed processing chip. Top fo the end stuff from IBM, Sony, Toshiba. The 9-core chip has a powerpc core and 8 specialized cores that were developed as a result of the joint venture and heat reduction was one of the reason why they went with this design. This is the next generation in microprocessing. Forget Quad core, duo core, you buy yourself a 9-Core CPU.

PS3 uses NVIDIA graphics, whereas 360 uses ATI graphics. This is personal preference, but I have had bad experience with ATI stuff so NVIDIA is the way to go when it comes to graphics for me.

The decision is easy. I bought a Playstation 3.

Again xbox fails, maybe next time Bill.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Lovin' it.
I bought this system mainly to play online with friends and have had no problems as of yet. Fun stuff!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Its all fun and games until the Ring of Disc Death shows up
I would like to start by saying that I have owned my 360 for 9 months now. Until recently we have enjoyed hour after hour of fragging bliss together. Now I would like to ask you a question. How would you feel if you paid $350 for the console, $120 for accessories, $50 for XBOX LIVE, and an easy $1000 on games and downloads only to find that the system destroys your precious collection one disc at a time. Halo 3... dead COD4... it killed my first disc and shortly thereafter ate my second disc, Yes it is my fault that so many of my best games have fallen to the XBOX 360's demise. I should have recognized that the 360 itself was etching game destroying scratches onto the previously immaculate discs. For the record... no I never moved the system while it was running a disc. The 360 has been sedentary and lived a very pampered life since its purchase date. Basically what it has been doing is leaving concentric circles/arches on the discs leaving you to see the "disc unreadable" error shortly after booting up. Some have even been mangled bad enough to not boot at all. XBOX Customer Service has proven to be completely worthless. They refuse to admit that anything of the sort could be wrong with there publicly faulty machines. I have been accused of mistreating my console and therefore they will not assist me in the matter. I am reporting Microsoft to the BBB in hopes of making this issue more widely known.

Bottom Line: I loved my XBOX 360 when it worked.
I will buy a new one (I pray the above does not happen again)
