Rating: - Not for the 360 Elite
This product did not fit the new 360 Elite. Microsoft has changed the design for the power cable and the power plug on the back of the 360. The plug cable no longer has two push buttons to release the cable. This design change does not allow you to plug the power cable into the intercooler. If you have a new 360 without the two push buttons to release the power cable from the 360, do not buy this product. If you have the old one, this product works great and could extend the life of your 360!!!

I bought this for my Xbox 360 Elite but never ended up using it as there are many reports of this taking some of the power intended for use by the console causing hardware failure. As it turns out, I didn't need it after all as my console doesn't actually get that hot. I would recommend against purchasing this product.

I bought the 360 Elite and Intercooler EX together. It generates a lot of fan noise. I also get fan vibration occasionally. I don't know if it's the intercooler or 360. I will have to test and find out if it continues to be a problem. This model is te Intercooler EX.
Rating: - Powercord does not connect
My Intercooler arrived today but after a few excited moments I quickly realized that the problem wasn't my lack of upper arm strength but rather the Intercooler having a plug interface that is not compatible with the power cord on the xbox 360.
The Intercooler has a small bit of plastic in the center that will not allow the power cord to be inserted. Unwilling to break it off and risk having a bad unit I'm returning it as is. Admittedly I'm nervous about some of the reviews here sighting broken machines though its hard to believe some of them when there are problems with early xbox 360's that could have been the issue. I'm just not willing to find out with my machine until I hear differently from reputable independent sources (consumer reports anyone?).

I don't care that this is the new improved model, it's still bad. Oh it worked fine, until today when it nearly FRIED our 360!! These things are worthless garbage, and even worse, will damage your console, and maybe even void your warranty if MS finds out you have one installed. Dh got suckered into buying one, against my better judgement (women's intuition is never wrong), and let alone suffering for 5 months from the unbearably loud NOISE this thing makes, nearly killed our console. The XBox 360 will stay adequately cool if it's ventilated properly.
