Rating: - World of Conflict Does not run
The web is peppered with users who cannot get this game to run on their computers and tech support is non existent. Both XPP and Vista are having issues with the game and there are many suggestions to fix it on the web none seemed to work. I run and XPS 1710 w/ Vista Business premium and the game would crash any time I picked a menu choice from the main menu. I would get a reloading resource and a stop functioning error. Bad programming and worse support. Demo worked fine.....
Rating: - This game is simply the BESTTTTTT!!
Where to begin, this game has all the likes and none of the dislikes of an RTS game. I must admit I was scared at how this game would run on my system but it actually runs really really well. The game has amazing graphics, unreal explosions that look by far the best of any other video game, decent story and not many bugs. I'd highly recommend this game if you're an RTS fanatic like myself. This game and Company of Heroes truly got me into this whole RTS game thing, and this game only revolutionizes what they started with this genre, this game is a must buy! Woops, multi-player is hours of fun too!!
Rating: - Amazing yet simple to play
For those who love RTS games but hate overcomplicated controls, this game is for you. I had an excellent time messing around with all the different units, and the action never quit. The game ran silky smooth too, with only a few hickups here and there and overall graphics still hold out today for being very aesthetic. Also the cutscenes were pretty nice and overall I'd recommend this game to those who want a quick real time strategy game with more emphasis on tactics than unit buying and or hording resources.
Rating: - World in Conflict
What a redundant game. Eye candy wears off fast. Unless you are the best, you wind up helping someone else use the coolest feature of the game--thermonuclear weaponry. Got tired of this fast. Only plus was playing with my community, but that did not save this game. I gave it to my history class students; just put it on the counter and said, "it's free!"
Rating: - World in Conflict - a great game
Overall World in Conflict is an example of what a great game is all about. As you develop skill through the various levels the levels get harder but not so hard as to frustrate the player. Additonally the multiplayer game is a real blast
