Rating: - Would be good if it actually picked up my voice.
I've gotten this headset a few times and each one of them have problems picking up my voice. I play a lot of Halo 3 and I have to speak really loud for the mic on this thing to pick up my voice. Because of this I couldn't use this at night while other people are sleeping.
The battery on this thing also only lasts about 6 hours on a full charge and takes a long time to charge once it is out of power.
I wanted to love it but had to return it because of all the problems.

Look, i thought by it being [...] cheaper here it would be a good buy...boy was i wrong, only a month of not having any problems the battery kicked the bucket....AND IT WAS REFURBISHED....i mean...i think that a REFURBISHED headset would be cleared of defect and all but once again microsoft has failed to realize that the batteries they use SUCK...o well, lucky for them its covered under waranty becasue amazon is slow and crap for returns.

I have had this headset for over six months now, and have only good things to say about it. The chat is clear, and the controls are well placed. I often run up a floor to grab a mid-game snack and can still participate in the voice chat with my comrades. If you are serious about taking your chat to the next level, I suggest you buy this. Its battery life runs for about eight hours, which is more than enough for all but the most serious (and socially deprived) gamers. It has a rechargeable battery which I have found recharges in about 3-4 hours. It is fairly well made, and has withstood numerous drops and even a game induced frusturated throw or two.

Although a bit pricey in stores, amazon is truly a bargin at 50.00 for this beauty. no more hastling with the cord being in your way when gaming or worrying if that flimsy microsoft headset will snap when you put it gently on your head. go wireless.

Okay bottom line this is a good headset. Don't listen to those bad reviews who say that this headset will die on you, the battery did not last long as i expected but you can get a good day of gaming out of it. It takes a while to charge for this short battery but it gets the job done, sound is clear and all those idiots who say you lose connection from just 3 feet away, i have taken this from my room to my kitchen to get a snack and i was still connected talking to my friends. Okay if you like gaming i recommend if your willing to spend the money for a headset that takes up littler space, this is the one to get.
