Editorial Review:

Product Description:
If you're connecting your Nintendo Wii to a progressive scan television, then these component cables are a must have. The Nintendo Wii is capable of two graphic resolutions, 480i for basic TVs, and 480p for progressive scan TVs. The switch to progressive scan gaming on the Wii will result in a marked improvement in overall image quality, and you can only enable 480p on the Wii with a set of Wii Component Cables.

Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Works but...
The difference between component and composite is definitely noticeable on HD screens and this cable does it's job. But, it's kinda flimsy and I had to kind of bend the wires and twist the connectors sometimes to get the right colors to come out on the tv.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Improvement over standard cables
It's only 480p but it does sharpen the picture on my hdtv(Samsung ln46a550). I belive it's worth it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Madcatz Cable is Great!
I just got the Madcatz Component cable for my Wii and it works great. It definitely improved the quality of the graphics on my Wii and Sony Bigscreen HD TV. It even has gold plated connectors which kind of surprised me for the price. It is at least $10 less than the Nintendo cable and definitely works just as good. It is a great deal for the money. It is clearly well made and sturdy. The nearly 10 foot length is a big help too. All in all, a worthwhile investment if you have an HD TV to plug into.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Cable Definitely Performs
The component cable defintely makes a difference over the composite cable.
The quality of the cable is good. It could be of heavier thickness for durability, but my cable never moves, so I am satisfied with it.
The only downside is that two of the plugs have red bands; one for audio and one for video. You have to differentiate the two by relative location.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It actually work so go ahead and buy it.
I plugged it in and it worked with no problem. My kids noticed that on Super Mario Brothers that they could see additional detail on the turtle's shell so that was cool.
