Amazon.com Product Description:
If you want to get the most kills possible, you'll need the right tool for the job. The Creative Fatal1ty 1010 Mouse was designed with every last detail scrutinized by the world's top FPS (First Person Shooter) gamer, Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel.

The man himself at QuakeCon. Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel is the brains behind the Creative Fatal1ty 1010.
The ingenious G-Weight modular weight system is the ultimate way to customize your gaming experience on the fly. The high-definition HD-Optix engine enables deadly accuracy in any game. Meanwhile, the RapidRes visual resolution indicator takes full advantage of the power of HD-Optix, letting you switch instantly between optical resolutions. Plus, the SpeedWire cable enables the fastest connection possible to your PC, ensuring every move and motion is executed flawlessly. Your competitors won't stand a chance!

The G-Weight modular weight system customizes the weight of the mouse for a competitive advantage. Three weights are included--light, medium, and heavy. The RapidRes switch offers one-click resolution switching between 400, 800, and 1600 cpi while gaming.

Everything is designed for smooth response and supreme accuracy.
There's also a visual indicator on the mouse to indicate your chosen resolution. When you're in the 1600 cpi mode, you'll benefit from the power of Creative's HD-Optix optical engine, offering outstanding movement and motion tracking for the deadliest precision possible.

The Creative Fatal1ty 1010's TrueGrip technology offers quick firing response on the three primary buttons for precise control and better accuracy. Genuine Teflon gaming mouse feet offer the smoothest possible motion across mousing surfaces, and the SpeedWire high-performance gaming connection combines a high-speed USB 2.0 connection with zero oxygen copper cabling and a gold-plated USB connector for the fastest connection possible to your PC.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Do not buy this mouse
I have had this mouse for exactly 5 weeks. On the 35th day (5 days earlier I could have gotten a refund) this mouse broke.

Reading other people's review of this mouse, I can see that I am not the only one.

DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not the best... just ok
I bought this mouse for my dad for playing counter-strike. He seems to like it, but he had a laptop mini mouse... so anything is an improvement. I have a Razer Deathadder, and the 1010 mouse just doesnt compare. The mouse is comfy, but doesnt track as well. Anoter problem I ran into was the 3rd and 4th buttons dont work in the game... Maybe its just me, but its pretty lame to have extra buttons that dont work. If ur not cheap, go for a Razer instead... ~Viperbird~

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Does Not Last
I loved this mouse for a good 6 months - then the left clicker began to fail. After a month of slowly failing, it died all together. As others have said before me - this mouse is great for a while but not a smart purchase.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome
This is a geat mouse for games that require a quick middle button to do swift changes in the game!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very precise control
This mouse doesn't seem to have the widespread success of other high precision or gaming mice; neverthelss, I have been using it for a couple YEARS now ( gaming and nongaming ) and am very satisfied with it. While some of its features are of no use to me it does have what is most important to me.

Pros:
1. Light touch to click, less strain on your fingers
2. Light overall weight, less strain on your wrist/arm
3. scroll wheel that doesn't "glide", some clickiness helps you tell how far you are scrolling.
4. Very high "precision", don't have to hunt for what you want to click on!

Cons:
1. There are a lot of buttons, but its not really possible to keep a finger on each one all the time, so it does take some extra effort to use them ( but I don't need them all anyway ).
2. Since the mouse is relatively lite ( which I like ), the cord tends to pull the mouse around when you let go of it. I have a mouse jungie I bought a few years ago ( might be out of business? ) which olds the mouse cord in the air with a fixed amount of slack. This setup works very well.
3. It does click pretty loudly but I guess I have gotten use to it because I haven't thought about it for a while until I read the other reviews.
