Product Description:
Mike Haggar, the new mayor of Metro City, had a long and distinguished career as a professional wrestler and street fighter. Determined to take back the streets from the ruthless gangs that currently run things, Haggar launches a one-man campaign to stop them. Always ready for a fight, the Mad Gear Gang kidnaps Haggars daughter, Jessica, and dares him to come after her. Along with Jessicas boyfriend Cody, youll have to kick some serious butt to save her and take the gang down. Playing as either Cody or Haggar, youll find five intense levels of non-stop punching and kicking as you try to rescue Jessica. Each character has its own fighting style, and they can both utilize the many weapons strewn about the environments. The new mayor can make quite a statement by taking the Mad Gears down, but he needs your help to do it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - instant classic
I remember being a kid and playing this in the arcade. The super nintendo version is a slight different. you can't choose guy, however it is still fun and really cool action beat em up is great in my book. Final fight has really cool sound quality for it's time to I think.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Flawed Final Fight Port, still good though
Final Fight is one of my favorite games of all time. When it hit Arcades in 1989 it was an instant classic hit. It came before Double Dragon and Streets of Rage and spawned many clones (a lot from Capcom like Alien vs. Predator and Cadillacs & Dinosaurs), which tried to gain on the success of this awesome game. Some played great like Konami's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men, and The Simpsons. Some were terrible like Irem's Undercover Cops.
Capcom can be forgiven for this somewhat shoddy port of Final Fight to the Super NES because it was their first game developed for the system and the Super NES was a new system at the time. This port removes the 2 player feature, Guy, the Industrial Stage (Stage 5 I think if I can remember), smaller sprites and the amount of enemies on screen at the same time. Also female thugs Poison and Roxy are turned into transsexual punks Cid and Billy, plus boss Sodom's name is changed to Katana because Nintendo of America is so anal (pun intended! :) ). Otherwise this is a decent side-scrolling beat-em up and one of the best you can find. If you don't mind single player with only Haggar or Cody then you will enjoy. I recommend playing this game on MAME (emulation), going to an Arcade with classic games if you can still find one, playing Final Fight CD for Sega CD, Final Fight One for Game Boy Advance or getting Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox which has an Arcade perfect version of this game and others. Still this game is pretty good overall.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - GOOD OLD-FASHIONED BRAWL 8.5 OUT OF 10
This still has the classic feel that was established when it was first released. In today's world of gaming a game that is all about just walking and punching waves and waves of enemies would receive a low score. Final Fight still manages to be a lot of fun despite its age. It's still fun to punch lots of enemies, stab enemies with knives, kick enemies, pick up floor poultry for health, fight challenging bosses, and the environments are still cool. The only problem is the game gets a bit generic when fighting these waves of enemies.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - This one's an aquired taste.
I guess I liked it because I grew up with it.It's nothing great. It's a classic side-scrolling arcade game where you go along in different levels and beat alot of people up.Simple.I like that sort of thing, though many hated this one...or didn't know about it.
