Rating: - worst mario sport game
unrealistic size fields - they are tiny yet very little balls go really deep, baserunning is horrible, the fact you have to constantly power up your pitch and swing to achieve something good gets old fast, bad overall control of the fielders...there's no fun to this game
Rating: - Great fun and I don't even LIKE baseball!
This was a purchase for my 7 yr old son's birthday. He LOVES it! I've played it with him several times and was surprised at how long we played. Our favorite part is swinging the bat. Not as much fun as MarioKart, but definitely worth the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: - little kiddish but fun
I got this game on discount(looking for the bigs but store didn't have it),and I stumbled on mario baseball.Being a fan of both I picked it up, and have to say I'm enjoying it.Probly not as much as I would have the bigs but its still fun. However the anounsers voice(sorry bout spelling) sounds like mario and steve erkal had a baby
Rating: - Great Game.........with some flaws
This is a really great game, with some mediocre graphics and sound though. I LOVE this game (I haven't gotten tired of it even when I got it for Easter) This game can be a little tricky with the fielding and baserunning, but overall it is incredibly fun and exciting. There can be some great parts about the game. You can choose from thirty-two characters and six fields. The fields (except for Mario Stadium) have their own crazy features. Peach Stadium has Hidden Blocks, which balls can bounce off of, Wario Stadium has Tornadoes, which make the ball whirl around in the air and make it fly off in another direction......etc. This game can be very intense at some point though. It can become frustrating as well. What makes the game interesting is the way that each pitcher and batter have their own special pitches and hits. The player can choose from 12 team captains, which each have a special hit and pitch (D.K has a banana ball hit and a banana curving pitch). Unfortunately with this game, there are some pretty big flaws. First of all, if a ball is hit between outfielders, the control switches between the two out fielders, making them both arrive after the ball has hit the ground at the same time, giving the hitter an extra run. Second, The players have way too fast of reactions (If someone hits a ball really quickly at the third or first baseman, they will almost always catch it), which gets incredibly frustrating. Finally, the people in the outfield are way too good. (Bowser, who is probably the worst fielder in the game, will make every 8 or 9 out of 10 catches. It they are going to be bad, make them REALLY bad. Also, it is confusing how Goomba and Monty Mole are so fast when they have the ball. When these two get the ball, they take off like a rocket (Monty Mole got a double play by tagging out my man going to first and my runner going home). That got annoying. Enough with the bad. I think that this game is incredible for its creativity and gameplay. This game is great.
Rating: - Poor Poor Game
I have owned this game since it came out...i decided that sinc ei was a freshman in college when i owned it that maybe since owning the wii it was a good idea to take advantage of the gamecube functions and play again. well i loaded it up and sure enough as good as i was while playing with college kids all around...the game mode is incredibley hard. i think the response of the controls in the game is terrible, the pitching set-up is horrible. even in ken griffey jr's baseball on genesis or strikeout 1, 2, and 3 do not allow you to, after the pitch is thrown, still control the ball. that is ridiculous. also the batting and star power stuff is terribley over used and to me...pointless. people can still hit the ball and catch it regardless if it is star powered or not. i also get ticked off that the computer, for instanc eon donkey kongs level. i hit a long drive into left outfield, the man who runs after the ball gets hit by a barrel, i quickly tap for ALL MY PLAYERS TO STEAL A BASE but they do not right away...and most liemkly more than not a double play is acheived by the computer...but if i am fielding and the exact scenario happens...his players dont even stop they continue to run...the computer always knows whats goin to happen or something. this game is incredibley frustrating and i find myself dealing with the game as if i was terribley upset about it the same way i would get trying to beat the original mario kart while i was in high school. im a junior in college now and i still arguebly regret this poor purchase. a terrible game.
