Amazon.com Preview:

Despite all the hoopla surrounding the next generation consoles, the most anticipated gaming event of this year is undoubtedly the latest The Legend of Zelda game. Subtitled Twilight Princess, the game looks radically different from The Wind Waker with less stylized, more realistic looking graphics.

As ever with a Nintendo title, much of the game is still surrounded in secrecy, but previews have already shown the game's enormous scale with huge areas of rolling countryside for you to ride your horse and battle various evil enemies. Indeed, the game seems more action-focused than previous adventures, both on horseback and on foot.

One major new feature revealed in the game is that Link is now able to transform into a wolf. This gives him a whole suite of new features including the ability to "see" smells and access areas impossible as a human (or elf).

Despite the greater emphasis on action, the puzzles in the game are even more elaborate than before. A forest dungeon reveals your ability to communicate with animals. You order around a troupe of baboons to solve puzzles and to help battle the level boss.

The GameCube could hardly have asked for any better swansong than this, with utterly amazing graphics and an apparently endless range of features and settings. Even with so little still known about it, this is still on course to be the best game of the year. -- Harrison Dent, Amazon.co.uk

This preview is based on an incomplete version of the game; features or problems mentioned above may not appear in the finished game.

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Outstanding for either cube or Wii (I use both)
Simple one of the best games and as Sean Rhodes said it is a bit of getting use to the variations of using the Wii or going back to the cube but simply just a game to get lost in for hours as many I know do and just another great addition to the Zelda world!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great game
we enjoyed this game so much and just couldn't stop playing it. we are big Zelda fans and this game was what we expected it to be and a more

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome
I just bought this game about a week ago. And I just have to say that it is without a doubt the coolest game I have ever played. The graphics are awesome, the storyline is great, being the wolf is one of the coolest things I've ever done in a game, and it's Zelda. What else is there to say? Link is the coolest video game character ever, hands down. Sure the game is annoying as all get out sometimes, but it's a Zelda game. You're supposed to run around for hours beating your head against the wall because you can't find how to do something. Then you find it, in a very obvious place, and you have to keep playing. Twilight Princess isn't the best game I've ever played, but it certainly is the coolest.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not Ocarina of Time
Well it's not Ocarina of Time, but then again is not Wind Waker. Way better than its horrific cell shaded counterpart for the game cube. But then again it still lacks a little of that amazing Ocarina feel. Overall it was quite fun, for all you Zelda fans out there, give it a shot for sure.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Amazing for each second!
I loved this game. Despite overreactive critics, this game was well worth the wait. It was simply and utterly amazing! The beginning was fast paced and well-written, the middle was challenging, with puzzles that had you pulling out your hair or running to a walkthrough, and the end was surprising and beautiful. Love! Anyway, I highly suggest you buying it. This videogame is not a hitman videogame were the entire thing is shooting people. This videogame makes you THINK. Not for the faint of heart nor for idiots. Anyone else: this game is perfect for you.
