Rating: - GET THE DS LITE
There is a differance between DS and DS Lite. Except that the DS Lite screen is brighter and has 4 settings of brightness. The original has one setting of brightness and not as bright as the Lites. Not even the lowest setting of the brightness in the DS Lite is brighter than the original DS.
The DS lite is much more smaller and much more comfortable to hold than the original. The original has a pretty bad desighn. The lites has and awsome desighn.
Rating: - Very sturdy but fun
I've dropped my DS once or twice on a concrete ground, and the only thing that broke, or half broke, was my Action Replay. The DS only got a little scratched, but it still works really well! The battery life is very good, the graphics are decent (very good, according by the tiny little cards the games are), and the sound is great. The touch screen needs common sense. By that I mean DO NOT press hard on it! A lot of people I know do that and, what do you know?! Their screen is all scratched up and they complain about it and say they don't know what happened! My touch screen is a little dusty, but still works completely fine. 5/5.
Rating: - Great!
This system is great because it can play all of your old Game Boy Advance SP games. I have had a Game Boy Advance SP for a while until I bought the Nintendo DS. So I would recommend this to anyone! (Especially Nintendo fans.)
Rating: - good buy for my son
happy with the product, a bit high on price, but I needed it for a gift.
overall...happy with the actual product and prompt delivery.
Rating: - This is fun but...
I should add that I received this as a Christmas gift one year from one of my relatives and I really enjoy it.
I really won't be able to do an actual review on this thing until Pokemon Diamond and Pearl come out in April. However, I do have one of the games in the Nintendogs Series so I can do my review based on that. This is a fun system, but I almost want to switch to a DS Lite, being as this is more heavier than that is. I just saw a picture of the DS Lite just now, and it looks like the controls (like your on/off switch) are set differently than the DS. I still like this though because you can play GBA games on here, the screen is brighter than it is on the GBASP, which is a big plus. I should just be lucky that I even got a DS though, because if I hadn't, and we got the two Pokemon games I mentioned earlier, than I wouldn't have been able to play them. I still recommend this, but I'd recommend the DS Lite even more...
