Rating: - Could of been better
The game was ok. The graphics were great when you were up close but when you were looking at the overall crime scene, all you could see was the pixels (even though it said my computer was compatible with the game). By case 3 the questions being answered were in English, but the questions being asked were in French, so I didn't know what was going on lol. Part of me still likes CSI:Hard Evidence better.
Rating: - CSI
Bought this for my daughter. She loves CSI and knew she would like it and she does. She said it was a liitle hard but who doesn't love a challenge! Check it out.
Rating: - Great, but with glitches
I'm a big fan of the CSI computer games, but more so the later games than these. The first of the two games in the double pack has much simpler, shorter cases than the later games, which makes gameplay a bit boring. It is also slightly difficult to navigate in comparison to the later games (such as 3 Dimensions of Murder and Hard Evidence.)
My main problem with this item was that after finishing the first of 5 cases in the second game (Dark Motives), all of my user dialog choices turned to French. Most of the words on-screen were still in English and the characters spoke in English, but whenever I went to interrogate a suspect or ask questions, all of my choices were in French. The game is still playable this way (especially if you have at least a little familiarity with romance languages) but it would be much easier if it didn't have this glitch.
I have no idea if buying the two games separately would resolve this problem, or if there is a patch to remedy the situation. I didn't bother looking.
What I would recommend is this: The games are a lot of fun if you can get past the glitches. If you're looking to get the complete collection of CSI games, then this double pack might be great for you. But if you're interested only in perfected gameplay or are just starting to play the CSI games, give 3 Dimensions of Murder or Hard Evidence a shot before you turn to these.
Rating: - Challenging and enjoyable
It was tough to get the hang of remembering to analyze every little thing and not move the mouse too fast to catch all the evidence, but after that it was a lot of fun.
Rating: - CSI/CSI MIami/CSI Dark Motives Triple Pack
This product is more or less what I expected. Being a 3 for 1 though, it lacked the quality of a single game. The first problem I came across was that the Dark Motives game and CSI Miami games had the wrong labels on the CD. Then, the worst problem was that while playing the Dark Motives, all the information was in French and after unsuccessfully trying to fix the problem, had to play the whole game in French. I don't think I would recommend it to anyone, unless you are bilingual.
