Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fun Game Glitch in Software
The ER game is great fun. It has many levels you must achieve before moving on. You have the option to save after each level. The biggest problem is the glitch in the software. I originally purchased this game at a store and when I had the problem of it locking up, I returned it. I decided to try again & purchase another one only to have the identical problem. When I contaced Legacy--the software co. they said a patch was avaiable but once I downloaded it, the game still did not work. It locks up constantly in the same places and you cannot bypass the level. It was a waste of money. Do not buy this game.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Few annoyances, but overall fun!
When you get this game, make sure you go to the legacygames website and download the patches. It will make the game run much smoother. The game is pretty fun, although not as challenging as I expected it to be. You will not be using your knowledge to "treat" the patients. Moving the character around gets to be a bit of a hassle, but it's still a fun game.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very intense
I try not to kill people...lol.
I click on a patient in the waiting/triage room to diagnose the injury or illness and severity of it, if a patient has an injury more severe than the skills I have, I have to assign a Dr. with more experience. If I have the skill level to treat the patient I assign that patient to a bed in one of the exam rooms and then go to that room to treat the patient. During the course of the game I am given orders from the attending doctors. Some of them, if not completed in the set amount of time are fireable offences(GAME OVER). But some if not completed, just go on my record. While trying to complete all these orders I am given. I eat when I can, sleep when I can, and shower when I can. And above all else, DO NO HARM.
Like I said, it's very intense. It's so much fun

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Interesting game with alot of potential.
ER, the official game from the television show ER is a game that offers you the chance to work in the Emergency Department of the hospital, starting as an intern and working your way up the ranks.

The game starts with you deciding what you, as the doctor should look like, you can only decide your hair colour, eye colour, scrub colour (your clothes), what pre-made head you would like and if you want to wear a jacket or not. There aren't many available "looks" you can choose but the amount available is good.

You then get the option to play the tutuorial, although helpful to begin with it leaves out some important information that you have to work out, so if you didnt play it, you could work it out.

The main aim of the game is to help the many patients who fill the waiting room. You as the doctor walk over to the patient, diagnosis them (which will make them become a colour depending on how sick they are, there are 10 levels of sickness, level 1 is bright green and is not sick as all, these patients take only a small amount of time to heal, the colour changed to yellow and then to level 10 which is flashing red, if your patient is level 10 they die.) Once the patient is diagnosed they are moved into one of the available beds in different rooms. Once the patient is in bed you just click on the patient and you start to heal them. This was the frustrating part as you can't actually heal them yourself. Once healed the patient walks out of the hospital and you start the process again.

The game does consists of many challenging-at-first situations, on one level you get the chance to taking care of 5 interns, who indefinatly will end up killing the patient if you dont step in and take control, you can at times choice who to fire from the emergancy department and you take care of many interesting characters who will all come in with something wrong, but then will need a new diagnois, heading to the lab for the majority of you shift.

You can make friends by talking with other doctors and nurses, which has many advantages, such as raising you emotion levels, and getting you perks that will make your time in the Emergency depeartment less stressful. Or you can do the opposite and make enemies who will make your life as hard as they can.

An at times annoying aspect of the game is the need to refresh your needs. At the start of this shift you energy, hygiene and emotion bars are at max, but working a stressful 36 hour shift will make the bars drop, with results such as patients apparently not wanting to come near you cause you smell, or you collapsing because your energy is so low so you end up in the staff lounge in bed. This can create problems in a emergency.

The game only has 2 levels of the hospital, the emergancy level and the staff level (where the bathroom is, the canteen and the gym...) with an added section for the ambulance area.

This game is not very hard once you know what you are doing, many aspects of the game can be frustrating, but the generaly game is very fun and addictive to play. I was disapointed as there are only 6 or 7 levels , a level being the 36 in-game-hour shift to complete, which resulted in me finishing the game quickly, but the good thing about it, is that there are many different ways to play the game so you can just restart and play differently.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Tons of fun!
This game is a blast, and a must-have for fans of the show! If you think it's fun watching the drama unfolding around your favorite ER characters, wait until you put yourself right beside them and get right into the middle of the action! You'll see crazy "CIA" agents, escaped mental patients, and roving reporters - and that's just the first three "days"! Just to warn you - this game is rather addictive! You'll want to play all day!

I will mention that the graphics aren't 100% - sometimes my doctor will walk through furniture. All in all, this doesn't hinder game play in any way.
