Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Aura Fate of the Ages
This is the first puzzle game I've purchased and it was HARD. If it wasn't for the cheats and shortcuts site I found I would have never gotten past the first puzzle. The graphics are great, but again not an easy puzzle. If your a novice at puzzle games like I am stay away from this one. Wish I had found an easier game to start with that would have stirred my interest if looking for more puzzle games. Think I'll stick with my strategy games such as Pharaoh.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good for Myst Enthusiasts
This is quite an enjoyable game for those of us who adore the first-person Adventure genre, particularly of the 'ageless fantasy' type, a la Myst, Riven, etc. Reasonably difficult puzzles, beautiful surroundings, and atmospheric music are all there.

My fellow and I were at first disappointed to see that we were forced into the role of an already created character, Umang, and that the people in the game were 3D renderings, rather than live video. Umang, however, really grew on us. He's so cheerful and dedicated to his quest!

The quest is a bit mysterious; as some have already noted, the storyline is somewhat vague. Talking of the few drawbacks, it is a bit odd that certain areas to remain unapproachable until one talks to a certain character, but we chalked this up to Umang's politeness (a good quality, of course, though mildly disruptive to gameplay in this one respect). Note also that there are some peculiar sounds present in all scenes that have nothing to do with what's going on (e.g. siren, snarling beast noise, rustling). These alarmed us the first few times we heard them.

Good fun, immersing, easy to get around, and one is motivated to explore simply due to the impressive surroundings. Definitely worth a go!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Fun, even for the older gamers
I am a grandmother who loves to game, this is a great game with lots of puzzles that challenge the mind, and no fighting or killing. Good graphics and story line. In the genre of Myst, and just about as good. Try it, you'll like it.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Just another Puzzle Game
You enter a room, collect some things, and solve a puzzle. Then, you enter another room and solve a puzzle. Then, you go outside and solve a puzzle. Then, you go someplace else and solve some puzzles. Exquisitely rendered graphics cannot compensate for the absence of a story, interesting characters, or dialogue. One walkthrough simply dismisses the game and tells you how to solve the puzzles. It is just another puzzle game.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Aura: problems
This game gave me trouble almost from the start. It asked for CD1 after full install then gave an error message, it wouldn't accept CD1. What error? I don't know. I installed the patch but that did no good. The game just wouldn't play. I tried the game on another new computer and the same problems arose.

I was able to play up to where the dude asked for puzzle pieces then it all fell apart.

If you buy this game I hope you have better luck than I. I am a fan of adventure games. I am not a fan of Aura.
