Rating: - BEST ACTION SPORTS GAME OF THE YEAR!
This game shows the real meaning of Wakeboarding. The graphics are unbelievable and it is so fun, you will want to play it 24-7. You can choose your favorite wakeboarder and try to accomplish the game's goal. Even if you don't really know much about wakeboarding, It is definetely worth your money!
Rating: - scenery rocks
I have been to Lake Powell about 5 times!! And let me tell you, the Lake Powell scenery is fantastic! It seriously looks like you took a picture of the rocks. Utah is currently in a drought, and so that is why one third of the rock is white. FANTASIC
Rating: - Off the tow rope
If you buy one extreme sports game this year, make it Wakeboarding Unleashed. The graphics are insane - you've got 10 or so huge tracks packed with secret areas, alternate routes and interactive environments, and each one has its own visual style, from the clear, bright blue Lake Powell morning to midnight in Hong Kong or afternoon in Belize. The physics are pure genius; the tow rope feels absolutely real, and you've never seen water like this in a video game. You unlock new levels and add skill points to your boarder by completing challenges (standard Tony-Hawk fare these) and finding hidden "gaps", basically hard-to-get-to or hard-to-stay-on rails, some of which require you to release the tow-rope temporarily. Some of these challenges are fairly easy, allowing the average player to move through the game, while others seem darn near impossible, although you do add to your stats while you play, so theoretically it will be easier to revisit the tough ones later. In all, this is one of the most addictive games I've ever played, and I haven't even tried the co-op mode that I've heard people rave about!
Rating: - Awsome Game
With alot of extreme sports games out there like Tony Hawks Pro Skater and Dave Mirra's Bmx and Kelly Slaters Pro Sufer Wakeboarding Unleashed has to be one of the most unique games i have ever played. Trust me i have played alot of the Extreme Sports games. You play as a really world wakeboarder and you admideatly start at the Training Mode which teaches you how to do everything. The levels are preety unique they are a mix of jumps half pipes rails and boats and tons of other things to trick off of. Not to mention you can do tons of tricks off of the wake the boat makes (hense the name WAKEBOARDING UNLEASHED). There is no time limit on the levels but there is a "Groove Meter" the Groove Meter is basicly your time limit the more you crash or mess a trick up and hit the water or hit ground the meter goes down. However the more tricks and the more technicaly difficult tricks you do the more the meter fills up. There are many things to do in the level there are certain challenges you have to do like collect a certain number of stars or complete laps on while you are in the boat. There is a groove mode where the Groove meter is incorperated in the Groove Mode you have to get a certain number of points or do a manual for a certain amount of time. There are gaps you have to find and grind on. The multiplayer is really unique one person drives the boat while another wakeboards. It also has the opion of puting your own sound tracks in the game using the xbox hardrive. This game is pretty much perfect in everyway so i would go and buy it is a sure thing for fun.
