Rating: - Jeopardy
Jeopardy fans will like this game since it is played almost identically to the real game and the questions/answers are somewhat similar.
The game comes with little clickers for the players, a game board with the categories, dollar amounts, and question/answer sheets, along with play money to amount for your winnings.
The downsides are:
1. The clickers all sound the same, so it is very hard to tell who clicked first. The rules then require a roll of the die to choose who gets to answer.
2. The clues are printed on a sheet that is inserted into the game board. Cardstock dollar tiles are inserted in slots on the front of the game board and removed as players choose which clue they want to answer(question). It is difficult to read the clues since the type is relatively small and they are often partially covered by other dollar tiles.
3. It takes a bit of time to set up each game due to having to insert the dollar tiles individually into the little slots.
4. It requires 3 people or more to play.
An ideal Jeopardy game for us would allow an easier way to tell who rings in first, a way to play with just two players, and faster set-up.
With the above downsides noted, we are happy with this game and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Jeopardy.
Rating: - A wonderful game for the entire family, including children.
Our entire family plays this game just about whenever all of us get together for holidays. We strongly recommend it. It is a lot of fun. However, you need to make sure that nobody sneaks a peek at the answers beforehand. Everybody in our family thought that my new brother-in-law was a genius until my dad caught him reading through the answer book. The guy is so charming that he could charm the birds out of the trees. But whenever he is around, my dad and I check our pockets to make sure that we still have our wallets. Do you have in in-law like that?
Rating: - not for the lazy
This game is fun, however there are two downsides.
1- the "clickers" are nothing more then a super version of a snapple cap. meaning it makes the same noise if you press the popped top of a snapple can. which makes it virtually impossible to tell who "buzzed" first.
2- There is a lot of set-up before the game and in between rounds. This game is not for the lazy or impatient of people. You have to set up each money value every time. and as a side note, there is no distinct "final Jeopardy".
the good side to this product is the fact that the questions are fun and challenging, if played in a group it can actually be very entertaining.
Rating: - A true test of your brain
Jeopardy! is a true part of Americana and has been for nearly 25 years. This game, with material previously used in season 17 (2000-2001), will put your smarts to the ultimate test with categories such as Citizenship Test and Crossword Clues 2nd Letter "U", and Birth of a President to Footnotes to History, it's almost the same game that's played in the studio!
This game is sure to make you say: "Let's make it a True Daily Double!" for years to come!
Rating: - A fun family game
Perfectly true to the TV game show, this board game is sure to bring hours of enjoyment. The questions are a fraction easier than those on the actual show, but by no means are they easy questions! You'll be impressed by how much you know and you'll joke about the off-the-wall questions that no one would know the answer to. It's a great game at a reasonable price. My family and I love it!
