Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Bloody Roar: Primal Fury is the latest in an ingenious series of tournament fighting games. Similar to DOA and other games in this genre, BRPF has a twist - its fighters are able to morph into hyper-strong beast forms that have a completely different set of moves than their human counterparts. These fight styles produce stunning matches with spectacular special moves. These transforming fighters were spawned when a sinister corporation subjected humans to experiments in order to create a new breedof warriors that combine human and animal traits. Now the warriors are out to discover the evil secrets of the corporation, and hopefully, save the world.

Amazon.com Product Description:
Play as any of 16 characters, each with his or her own human and hyper-beast forms, in Bloody Roar: Primal Fury--optimized for the GameCube. The title combines features exclusive to the Cube with the platform's graphical and technological advancements for a game worthy of the term "next generation." Bloody Roar offers fast and fluid fighting action and animations, incredible attack moves and special effects, and dynamic lighting. The game features seven gameplay modes: five single-player modes and two two-player modes. It also offers nine multilevel, interactive arenas with destructible walls and floors.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Bloody Roar
This is the best blood roar game out of all of them, and the first one too. I actually played bloody roar 2 and 3 before this one and they suck compared to this one. This one has great graphics, easy combose, and ultimate combose. The only thing is that its kinda short, and you can probably beat it in 30 minutes, with each character i mean. all in all its a pritty good fighting game.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A great Bloody Roar title!
Bloody Roar: Primal Fury is a lot of fun. Its graphics are lovely, controls fairly easy to master (but also somewhat challenging), and the voice acting is great. It sports an all-star (amongst the dubbing world anyway) English voice cast, in fact, including Jennifer Hale, Lex Lang, and Quinton Flynn. This is how a Bloody Roar game should be.

The only problem with this game is that it does not delve into the storyline behind Bloody Roar; this is a common problem amongst Bloody Roar games and I found myself confused about character relationships because this is the first game in the series that I played. If you're looking for the story behind it all, attempt to find Bloody Roar 2 for the PS1 (possibly the first Bloody Roar as well, but that's the only one besides EXTREME I haven't played). Bloody Roar 3 has a little bit of story as well, but not much.

Primal Fury, like the rest of the games, does explain Zoanthropes (the type of fighter you'll be playing), so you'll at least have a handle on that. If you're looking for something to pick up and have fun with, but not too much story, Primal Fury is a great choice.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Could be better
The game is a great fast paced fighting game. Morphing into animals or beast form to fight with is even better. There are some things I like and somethis I dislike about this game.

Things I like

1. Awesome environments with destructable arena walls.
2. Nice looking characters.
3. A variety of different fighting styles.

Things I dislike

1. Not enough characters. How hard can it be to come up with a new character. I've played this game on the 2 other systems also. Both PS2 and XBOX and they all seem to have the same characters. If they can give the game a different title for diffent systems then why not more characters?
2. Music? very repetitive. Get a better selection of music.
3. Well I don't really have a 3rd dislike. I've pretty much covered my dislikes. ( but a penguin? come on. Might as well put a frog or toad on here too or how about a gnat? Ha )

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - this game was almost as good as tekken
this is one of my other favorites games for gc i brought it n da late spring eary summer of 2002 da graphics is off the ratings i am da game characters look like a human being but they are not human beings they are computerized robots on tv that u can control da places in the game are nice when u give ur game opponents a good beating they usually go out the arena one of my favorite places was fighting at the san fransico bridge during the club hours and i could kick the game characters off the sidewalk and into the streets when they would get hit by a truck or a car that was very funny something like the lady getting hit by da bus when crossin da street on the wayan brothers show the replay n this game is amazing u can control it a little at the end of the game when u give the opponent a good hit the game will replay the brutal hit the u gave ur opponent and da good thing is u could replay it as many times as u like and make some use out sometimes when u continously replay what u did 2 ur opponent it sounds like u are makin a catching beat after a while u hear a catchy tune true me i glad they included the females n da game all of them are hot
