Amazon.com Product Description: The creators of the original NFL Blitz arcade game have designed the new NFL Blitz 2002 to take advantage of the powerful GameCube platform. All of the 3-D player models, NFL stadiums, and over-the-top animations have been re-created, along with the team-specific plays and intense sound effects.
The new impact player option allows the gamer to edit the route or assignment of any play in the team's playbook. There's an all-new running game AI, and more than 1,500 brand-new catches, sticks, and hits, including some animations that were motion-captured using professional stuntmen swinging from rigging wires. Real player stats, abilities, attributes, and attitudes add detailed realism to the game. The enhanced Create-a-Player mode allows the user to not only select the player's height, weight, and position, but also the uniform, face, head size and type, size of pads, facemask, and more. The game features enormous 3-D player models, with bulging muscles and real-player faces.
The over-the-top gameplay features players leaping, soaring, and diving for passes; stiff-arming, bulldozing, and railroading would-be defenders; and passing with precision. Intuitive, fast-action, extreme-style controls allow for quick-response gameplay. The game is equipped with the original NFL Blitz point-'n'-pass system and icon passing. Dynamic camera angles capture all of the deep crossing routes and monster sticks by linebackers.

Football must be the best sport ever. NFL Blitz brings Football out of its shell and makes it fun, funny, and perfect. Nfl blitz you can have late hits which you can body slam and butt slam too. It is awesome and is a must have for a football fan on GC.
Rating: - A waste of my time
I'm going to be very terse with my review of this game. IT SUCKS!! Midway needs to find a new field, and I'm not playing find a new field. Maybe this could make me and others happy who dislike this item and used their good money for something that is more of use.
Rating: - Best Blitz there will ever be.
This Blitz was a huge turning point in the series. It offered next Gen Graphics and gameplay. Blitz 20-03 is the same game but terribly plauged. There is an interception for every pass made. I AM NOT KIDDING. So if you're gonna buy a Blitz game, make it 20-02.
Rating: - Better than Madden!
This is a great football game. Instead of having to play boring 11-on-10 football, this arcade style game brings a new twist: 8-on-8 football. Also, there are no penalties, making it fun to play. You can even jump on people after the play. Graphics and control are especially good. 5 stars!

This game is a must have it is so funny you can put in infinate turbo and faster running. when u return the ball you can zig zag all across the field and make a huge mob of defensive guys chasing you. It is awesome when you do a 2 man blitz with a friend with infinate turbo and faster running you can make soo many sacks it makes you want to cry with laughter. I recommend this game for all who like football.
