Rating: - THIS GAME SUCKS! 4 OUT OF 10
From what I've seen of Cabela games over the years they seem to be improving, but there are some, like this game, that remind you of why it's sometimes better to do these things in real life.
WHAT THE GAME IS: You hunt animals, that is your basic task at hand. You can go through a career mode or just do a quick play as three different age groups of hunting.
GRAPHICS: This game kinda looks ugly, I expect more from a Playstation game made in 2000, because there were PSone games made three years before this that looked better.
MUSIC: There is only music on the menu screen and introductions, and it sucks. Otherwise there is no music, only boredom.
GAMEPLAY: Oh boy, this game flunks the grade in this area. The controls are asinine, and are barely reliable to the point of where they borderline unplayable. Analog controls are a complete mess, and there is no option for directional pad control. No matter which hunter you choose he always moves like: A.) He has arthritis, B.) He's constipated, C.) He's crapped his pants, or D.) The "wood monster" wishes to escape from it's denim prison. The controls for the ATV is also bad, as you can barely drive it because of how sluggish and unresponsive the controls are. Plus, you will be wandering for long periods of time trying to track down your an animal and kill it. You will be left screaming; "HURRY UP YOU SLOW B*STARD! WHY DO YOU MOVE LIKE YOU'RE CONSTIPATED? DAMMIT! UGH! WHY ARE YOU SO SLOW AND WHY ARE THESE ANIMALS SO FAST?!" though, you will be screaming far more colorful things into the air when you play it. The only saving grace are some decent gun controls, that's about it.
OVERALL: Just go in hunt in real life, it's more fun. This game is almost unplayable, and not worth your time or an investment due to unreliable controls and long moments of boredom.
Rating: - This Game stinks!
This game stinks unless you completely don't care about good graphics than you would probably like this game but it is so unrealistic and the graphics are so bad it was not worth 20 bucks when i bought it about 3 years ago I have found better hunting games than this I know it's a playstation game but there is still some games with good graphics but this one has horrable graphics!

This game is awsome! The only bad thing is you only have dots to show where the animals are in easy mode.
Rating: - Excellent hunting game!
one downfall of this game is that for different types of hunting you don't know much about there is extremely minimal instruction given. i figured there would be hunting tips available or something, but there aren't. you just have to play by ear to learn how to hunt different types of animals well in different environments. another is that the hunters run out of energy ridiculously fast. i have never had to eat four meals and drink three bottles of water during a day of hunting. if u run out of supplies in the woods you're [out of luck], but then again u consume the supplies so much faster than in real life it is a bit ridiculous. otherwise, this is a completely realistic hunting game. i have actually gotten bored at times sitting in my imaginary tree stand waiting for something to come up so i can shoot it. it has a great array of hunting areas and a large selection of animals. just about any weapon you could want is available, and you get to choose from a wide variety of supplies. i got it for my husband, and i have basically taken it over as mine!
Rating: - An easy hunting game
I've never held any kind of weapon in my life (other than maybe a fork) but it seems like a decent simulation of the real thing. Not necessarily a complaint but it was easy, I finished all the levels off in one day and ended up with over $20,000.
