Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I dont understand.
Why would you buy the thirty dollar one if you can buy this one for seven?

somebody tell me.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - It needs more!
Its great-but only if you cared for the main themes, of course THE metal Gear theme we all know and love- but really all this had was all the cinematic tunes and Boss battles. What I really wish this had was EVERY SONG like the 2 disc "MGS3; Snake Eater" , I woulda have really enjoyed it if there was the ambient cool-jazz background music you hear as you roam the Big Shell, partcularly the tune you hear while sneaking about the Dining Hall. But if its just the stuff I mentioned above you are lookin for, youve found it.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not a very good game-to-disc transition
Harry Gregson-Williams is a genius, and his music sounded very good in the game. But it didn't sound as good on the CD. A couple tracks were good, and the rest were fairly uninteresting. And the song "Can't Say Goodbye to Yesterday" was terrible. Both the vocal version and the piano version are unlistenable. I always have to skip the tracks.

Not a bad CD, but not worth the money. The original Metal Gear Solid music is of MIDI quality, but the composition was strong enough to make it a better album. Get that one and enjoy the MGS2 music as you're playing the game. The high cost of importing this album isn't worth it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - SOLID!
As soon I received the CD in the mail, I stuck it in my Discman, and hit PLAY. Within minutes of listening I was in love with it ! It's great music ! The music seems (to me) to be a clash - and a VERY GOOD CLASH - of classical and techno. They're slightly remixed, but that doesn't ruin a thing ! In fact sometimes it enhances it !

While much shorter than "The Other Side", it's a great compliment to it; Both albums compliment each other, yet are great alone !

This is a great soundtrack you'll want to get your hands on - even if it means stealthily infiltrating an armed base to get it!
