Amazon.com Product Description:
Doom for the Game Boy Advance retains the immersive 3-D experience and onslaught of horrific demons that made the PC version a classic. It pits you against cyberorganic creatures and nightmarish fiends as you blast your way through 24 levels. Armed with eight weapons, you must navigate treacherous architecture, avoid traps, and use power-ups in a battle of skill and firepower. The game features multiplayer support through the Game Boy Advance Game Link cable. Two to four players can test their mettle through all of the single-player levels and an additional eight dedicated multiplayer levels. Or two players can team up to blast their way through single-player levels in cooperative mode.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Doom GBA
The game arrived within a reasonable about of time. The game play was wonderful. Please do make sure that you either have the worm light for the old GBA or at least a GBA sp. I had the latter so it was really nice to turn on static lighting and crank up the brightness. I am sad that the cyberdemon and the spider mastermind were not included but overall its still a very enjoyable and fun game. well worth the buy.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Doom for the Game Boy Advance
It was in great shape when I recieved it. The game is fun and exciting, it contains all of the favorite episodes of Doom. I thought that it might have been challenging to play the game boy version, but I found it to be similar to playing it on PC. I recomend this game to anyone who loves the Doom series, or to anyone who loves a good shooting game.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Legendary shooter wherever you go
I was so excited to see a GBA version of DOOM that I went out and dropped sixty bucks on a GBA SP. I am not at all disappointed with this port of the legendary PC classic. The game plays just like the pc version, and although the controls are difficult at first, you get used to them fairly quickly.

The gameplay does slow down noticeably in some levels as opposed to others, but it is never choppy or too hard to handle. The small screen does take something away from the PC version, but that is to be expected from any game ported to PC. Also, the monsters have green blood, which is not a big deal for me, but some people found this really bothersome. Also, they disappear shortly after being fragged, which can cause confusion in some of the larger levels when you can't see the bodies in rooms that you have already cleared. Some people complained that the game is too dark; I didn't notice this. but I have an SP with the backlit screen, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Anyway being said, this is an amazing port of the best shooter game ever made, and since you can take it anywhere, you will never be bored. (unless your battery runs out).

By the way, if you have more than one copy of the game, you can play multiplayer mode, which can be done either co-op or deathmatch. The deathmatch is especially good thanks to the addition of several well made deathmatch-only maps.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not exactly the same as.....
....running Doom on a 486DX 80Mhz 4Mb RAM 14" like I used to when I was only 22 and together with three other chaps "re-allocated" time from our engineering classes to blast each other either with pistols or rocket launchers.

Who doesn't remember endless nights in front of your PC fighting fire-launching monsters, grunts and bosses, checking your map trying to find the secret passages, desperately looking for medi-kits and ammo....ahhhh...those were great days!!

I won't lie to you, it's not the same on a GBA screen (some scenarios are way too dark) but nevertheless this has brought-up so many great memories that only listening to the score is great fun.

Long live to FPS's.

Enjoy.
