Amazon.com Review:
Mario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and all your favorite characters are back in Mario Party 3. This game features 70 minigames that make you use your N64 controller in ways you never thought imaginable. Like its predecessors, up to four people can participate in five areas in board-game-style play. As you traverse the board, you'll have your chances to compete in the aforementioned minigames. Then it's all about button mashing and analog-stick twisting. The gamepad techniques are easily explained, but some of them are tougher than they look.

The single-player story mode is an absolute chore filled with as much watching as playing. You're not supposed to play this game alone, hence the word "party" in the title. Multiplayer modes include party, battle royal, and duel. The first two are the basic free-for-alls found in previous games, while duel mode is an interesting addition that combines elements from Othello and Monopoly with the minigames. The various modes help shorten multiplayer game time, which was a problem in previous versions.

Mario Party 3 continues the series' tradition of being the top dog of party games. With its numerous easy-to-learn minigames, it's perfect for when you and your friend are looking for quick, mindless fun. --Raymond M. Padilla

I love the Mario Party games they are fun humorous and are great fun at party's. and I can prove it because there was a sleep over at my friends house and he said he needed me to bring a really good party game so I took Mario Party 3 and the sleep over was awesome plus Mario Party is good fun for any time of the day or night I played this until midnight on my Nintendo 64. its great and easy to play and the script is big so its easy to read the game is very enjoyable and better then Mario Party. and Mario Party 2. buy it you will be glad you did.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Party 3: The Best There Is
This is the second best Mario Party game, besides Mario Party 6. This game includes the same 6, Mario, Peach, Donkey Kong, Luigi, Yoshi and Wario. But there is an added 2, Daisy and Waluigi! This is Daisy's thrid game and Waluigi's second.

The boards are in 2-D but rock out loud. THe best one is Blooper Sea, this board has the best Mario Party music ever! The minigames are well thought out. There are a fair few action ones alot of puzzles and many CRAZY ones. Toad is back along with Baby Bowser and the King Koopa himslf BOWSER.

The story is that a magical star has transformed the Mushroom-Kingdom into a pop-up book, the only way to change everything back is to complete solo mode! The items are really cool, some Items i've seen only twice and I've played the game millions of times! There are many options such as making every-one move faster on the board, and skiping CPU Minigames and battles.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - mario trash
This Game Sucks! It takes 10 minutes just to get the game started and by then you will realise what trash this is. The mini games are stupid and pointless. The plot sucks even though I'm not sure what the plot is to begin with. I didn't play it long enough to find out. If you want a good Mario Party stick with number 1.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Best Mario Party Yet!!!
What a great game! Now there are two new characters: Waluigi (a mix between Wario and Luigi) and Daisy (another girl character). There are over 70 new minigames and no old ones. I like all of them. There is now a story mode and a party mode. The Story Mode is a single player mode where you go through all of the boards in order to earn "stamps". If you earn all the stamps, you're done with story mode. Party Mode is where you can party with multiple players on a Battle Royal Map (from the classic Mario Party games) or on a Duel Map (2 player special map). The story is that the Millennium Star, a star born once in a thousand years, falls down by Mario and his friends. They all start arguing about who should keep it. They decide to play Mario Party to figure out who is the Superstar. You should definitely buy this game. Have fun and good luck!
