Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It's the music
Duck Tales has some of the greatest music in game history. Capcom really knew what they were doing back in the day. Just listen to the space level music (which The Advantage does a great cover of). Little did I know, but a large part of why I played so many NES games when I was 5 and 6 was because of their great music. These NES games have had a huge impact on my musical tastes and simply how much music I listen to today.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I'm not a Disney fan, BUT THIS GAME F***ING ROCKS!
When Nintendo first released the NES worldwide, they needed to hire a good deal of third-party companies to produce games for the new system. One of the best-known corporations that decided to do this was Capcom. The company made a name for itself with popular series like Street Fighter and Mega Man, but one of the more interesting things is that the Disney corporation had Capcom do all of their early games! This was a smart move. One of the earliest Capcom/Disney collaborations to appear on the NES was Duck Tales. How does this game measure up? Read on to find out.

PROS:
-If you're a fan of classic side-scrolling exploration games, you're gonna love this one.
-This is a classic example of "easy to learn but hard to master." Games like this are usually the best games out there, and this is no exception.
-Three skill levels make the game appropriate for all game players.
-Though you only play as one character, you will encounter a number of characters on your journey who only add to the appeal of the storyline.
-Capcom's NES games were renowned for their high resolution graphics which had very minimal glitching. This game demonstrates that beautifully.

CONS:
-The only thing I don't like about this game is that it's a pretty short game. Otherwise I don't see any problems with it.

OVERALL:
Do you own an NES? THEN YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME! I don't care if you're a Disney fan or not (I know I'm not), this is everything a side-scrolling adventure game should be. Back in the day, Capcom was the king of making good video games, and this was one of their finest. Don't pass it by!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - a not as well known classic for the NES
I can never remember how I got most of my old Nintendo games when I was a kid, but I am glad that Duck Tales is one of the games I owned as a child. To put it simply, this game is a lot of fun. You play as Scrooge McDuck and you are trying to become the richest Duck in the world (if he wasn't already). There are several (5 or 6, I can't remember) different areas each with its own boss. You are able to take out enemies by doing a pogo bounce on top of them with your cane. It is a simple (yet classic) way of beating the bad guys. Throughout the game you will see characters from the tv show (I no longer remember the names), including Huey, Dewey and Louie (Scrooge's nephews). With three difficulty levels, this game can be as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. The game retains its replay value over time and is still a lot of fun to play.
