Product Description:
In the sequel to BLOOD OMEN: Legacy of Kain, you jump into the world of Raziel, a member of Kain's vampire army. After defying Kain's authority, you were sentenced to damnation in the Lake of the Dead. Your body has been torn apart by water that acts like acid on vampires; you are merely a shell of your former self. As a member of the undead ranks, you have the ability to pass between the Spectral Plane and the Material Plane as you seek revenge on your former master. But you'll notice that the two realms are vastly different, as are your abilities in each, which you'll have to use to your advantage on your quest for vengeance. On both planes you'll find plenty of puzzles to solve, platforms to jump, and enemies to fight as you traverse through the two planes and hunt down Kain.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - legacy of kain: soul reaver
this game was good on psx, it got better on dreamcast

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Absolute perfection
This is the best Dreamcast game. Ever. Period.

Everything about this game is superbly done....graphics, playability, control....unbelievable.

The PSX version (never played it) was good from what I heard, so at the time I had just gotten a Dreamcast and I noticed this game was out for it....so I picked it up and i was instantly sucked in to the world of Nosgoth. You don't believe me, just get to the edge of the pit Raziel was thrown into in the opening cinema and look down. Unreal!!!

Not only does this game look good, but it plays like a dream....no quibbles whatsoever about the control, except the occasional mess-up trying to claw into blocks trying to move them around. Actually, if this game had a flaw- that would be the only one....the tedious nature of the many blocks puzzles....especially in the level with those dad-gum white spider enemies....!

The difficulty of the game is right up there too....nothing to turn your nose up at, you have to be on your toes.

As for the length of the game? Depending on if you try to get all the glyphs and health pieces....expect to take upwards of 25 hours to beat this game. I'm a perfectionist, so the first time through this one I took a good 35 hours....

Overall, 10 out of 10. I rarely give a perfect score....so this is definitely one game you can't pass up on....and now for less than 10 bucks, it sure is a steal!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A modern day classic
While the Dreamcast may be long dead, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver still stands as one of the best PS1 to DC ports of the system's history. The graphics are still as awe inspiring as they were on it's 32-bit cousin, and the control is even tighter utilizing all of the DC controler's capabilities. Not to mention that this game featured some of the finest voice acting to ever grace a video game; the cut scenes are seamlessly done and it's almost like a graphic novel come to life. All in all, if you've never played the first Soul Reaver game you are sadly missing out. It is better than last year's sequel, and if you own a Dreamcast it is a must own. Also recommended is Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage for the Dreamcast which also features voice actors from Soul Reaver.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - awsome game

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent!!
What a truly brilliant game. I loved playing soul reaver, it was fun and puzzling . The plot is truly amazing and the world of Nosgoth is represented beautifully by the Dreamcasts amazing graphics. You play the part of Raziel, set out to seek revenge on Kain, and to find his brothers, located in the different plains of nosgoth. You must shift between worlds in this game, to get to places that were once blocked, or to get out of a troublesome situation. You will love this if you are into adventure titles, go ahead, buy it!!
