i discovered this game on a demo disk when i bought a new ps-1 years ago and was hooked right away.i think this game is the best of the series- i like it better than AC2 and 3!! i like the graphics and gameplay better.i haven't played nexus yet,but this one is still the best- they shouldn't have changed anything.
Rating: - Awsome Game!
If you like giant robot action and games with the ability to customize, then you'll live this game. You go on missions to gain credits to buy AC parts to customize your AC. In the beginning there are maybe about 50+ parts in the shop but more parts are added every now and then. You can make your AC skilled in different areas such speed, power, or all-around depending on what you equip it with. There is also a 2-player versus mode where you can go up against a friend with your AC. This is definetly a game to spend your money on.
Rating: - One of the best video games produced for Playstation
"Armored Core" is one of the best Playstation games out there, with enough action, missions, mech construction, and general mayhem generation to satisfy any gamer.
In these days of bloated Playstation 2 and XBox games, it's certainly refreshing to pop this one in the ol' PS1 and do some good old-fashioned butt kicking.
Sometimes, an older game can give you all the thrills of the newest mega-blockbuster. "Armored Core" is a game that will never stop being fun. Five stars!
P.S. The sequels (those for the PS1 and PS2) are also excellent.
Rating: - Aromered Core..
Everything in the game is great! all the destrotion the missions the cvombanations of parts you can make for your AC unit the weapons and all.
Rating: - The Original!
This is the game that started it all. If you can take the graphics out of consideration ( the graphics were stunning for that time period don't forget) the gameplay is fun and still holds up, even after I've played Armored core2 and Armored Core:Another Age on the PS2!
