Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - A yawn enducing Power Rangers beat 'em up
Most games based upon franchises are utter crap, and this is one of them. I had fun with it as a kid but going back to playing it makes me realize how bad it actually was. You pick one of the five original rangers, just one (single player game), -and they all look downright fugly and only have cosmetic differences by the way- and you run through various environments beating on Putty Soldiers until they explode (nice...). You press one button to jump, and one to punch, and your character does a three hit combo. It would be fun if your enemies put up more of a fight or presented a challgenge. In other words it's not quite as fullfilling as Double Dragon or Battle Toads or Streets of Rage or even the modern day Viewtiful Joe.

Midway through the level you get to morph into your characters alter ego and they use their weapons instead of their fists this time. Along with the boss battles this is where the Rangers differences pop up, but it's really only cosmetic in reguards to how they attack and what dinosaur is visible with their special move (save that for the boss). Quite possibly the most redeaming quality about this game, besides the bosses being the monsters from the show is the final two levels where you go toe-to-toe with a giant monster in the ultra cool Megazord. Now this plays like a fighting game, mostly like the Ultraman fighting game, but this is actually fun compared to that, despite the slow movement, and spike in difficulty.

Even for fans of the original (and best) Power Rangers this isn't even worth looking at. There are better beat 'em ups, and slightly better Power Ranger games. Whats terrible about this game (besides that it cashed in on the thousands of fans love of the series) is that you only fight two battles with the Megazord, and there was no Green Ranger, the coolest of them all. Weak... seriously weak.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome Game
This game is really cool. I liked it very much. This is my type of game and the graphics are pretty cool too. I just don't understand why they made the Blue Ranger so Dorky. But it is still a cool character. and the special power move is cool to. this is a must have game

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good game
In the early-mid nineties, the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers television series was taking a huge rise in popularity. And what happens when a television show gets popular? You got it. They make a video game about it. This was the first of four Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers titles for the Super Nintendo gaming console. How does it measure up? Read on and find out.

PROS:
-If you're both a Power Rangers fan and a Final Fight fan, you'll get the best of both worlds here - Power Rangers characters, in a game that uses a Final Fight-style game engine.
-You can choose from the five original Rangers, each of which has his or her own strengths and weaknesses.
-The music is surprisingly good for this kind of game.
-With special passwords, you can do a two-player versus battle!
-You can save the game using passwords.

CONS:
-You can't be the Green Ranger. Sorry.
-Some stages are just too easy. The enemies seem like punching bags. This gives the game a very slow feeling.

-You can't control when you morph - it always happens at the same place, every time you play.
-For some odd reason, the Pink Ranger can fire arrows from her bow, but the Black Ranger can't fire shots from his axe cannon.

OVERALL:
Overall this is a good (but not great) game. Still, if you're a fan of the old-school Power Rangers series, it's well worth checking out.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Hard Hitting
Well i think this game is fun but it is exsausting. You just go around and beat the same old baddies up. Plus only two characters can actually do good!(trini and jason) But me and my buds love playing it! Only i wish there was a two player mode, that would rock the house!
