Rating: - Fun, but not as good as NBA Jam
"College Slam" can pretty much be considered an NBA Jam clone. The only difference is that this game features college teams instead of NBA teams, and that some of the powerups you can get are different. Like NBA Jam, it's 2-on-2 basketball with high flying dunks and you can get on fire for scoring 3 baskets in a row against your opponent. You can play a game where items will appear on the floor and you can get them to gain a powerup. They range from lightning attacks that will blast your opponents' rim off so they won't have one to shoot at to one where you turn into a tornado that will knock down your opponents.
"College Slam" is a good game and it's a lot of fun, but they forgot to do something in the game. None of the players have names so you'll know who your players really are. It just has one center, two forwards, and two guards that you can choose from for each team and it tells you their statistics. All in all if you like fun basketball games, I recommend playing "College Slam."
