By far the most fun football game for Genesis. All the real players and teams, a solid League mode that tracks a lot of stats, and the smoothest gameplay of any football game I've ever played.
The game has an announcer who's great fun too. Even though he repeats himself quite a bit and says "He's in trouble" when a returner's just broken free and is headed for the endzone, he never gets old. You can't sub (besides the QB) or create players, but hey, that's really not the important thing. Playability is, and NFL '94 runs very smoothly. My only problem is that it is extremely hard to pass and tackle opponents in the open.
Also, you can return short field goals if you position your player right. What other game lets you do that?

We had great fun with this game! It's 1994, so the graphics are quite dated, but the gameplay is great. Lots of choice between plays to make. Easy to control.
