Rating: - Two for the price of one.
I would recommened this item to anyone who thinks frugaly and or economically. This product does exactly as a normal rumble pak but this comes with a memory card. To buy both seperatly would to be spending an additional $5 to $10. I see no reason for this since the tremor pak matches if not exceeds the rumble pak in all forms except its bulkyness.

I came across this product while pricing and comparing accessories for my roommate's new, red N64 system (which I immediately confiscated). I tried to be objective and cut through all the media hype and I'm very happy with this purchase (even if it doesn't match my red controllers). I think it's the best deal for the money that's out there.
The package contains 1 Tremor Pak (which requires 2 AA batteries) AND 1 memory card (great deal). Memory cards can be plugged into a slot located on the bottom of the Tremor Pak without any hassle, so you don't have to unplug the Tremor Pak every time you want to save a game (I've gotten so used to this that I can't imagine doing it the other way any more).
The Tremor Pak also has 2 easily accessible switches. One switch allows you to change between SAVE mode and RUMBLE mode, and the other one let's you set RUMBLE mode to Low or High.
I haven't experienced the "loose fit" problem that one of the other reviewers mentioned on any of the 6 controllers (2 that came with the N64, and 4 third-party controllers with various expanded functions) which I have, and though I agree that it's a bit heavier than some of the others, you get used to it pretty quickly, it took me about five minutes to make the adjustment.
I think it's a well thought out design and the ease of switching from save mode to rumble mode alone makes it a winner in my book, especially for the price.
If only they made it in red... Oh, well, Bummer.

It doesn't even deserve two stars. I gave it one star because it came with an extra memory card... I gave the other star because it tricked me into buying it. This thing just isn't rumble quality, I wouldn't buy it unless you want an extra card spot in it with a card... blah blah... Get a Dreamcast anyways lol.

I think this product is really good because you can witch it from save to rumble quick. Also you get use to all the shacking and how heavy it is

It works fine about transfering frome rumble to save mode, and the 2-setting rumble mode is nice, but it doesn't fit as tightly as it should in the N64 controller. You can hear the tremorpak beating against the sides of the controller pack slot as it rumbles, especially on high mode, it eats batteries fast compared to other rumble paks, and its worse feature is how heavy it is. After you take it out of controller, the controller feels light as a feather. Good for the price, since it also comes with a standard controller pak.
