Rating: - Good for small hands
When the Microsoft mouse on my old computer decided to occasionally register just vertical movement, I wanted a replacement that was cheap and convenient. Amazon's online shopping took care of the convenience, and their low price didn't cut into my budget for a whole new computer system.
Micro Innovations specializes in low-cost peripherals. You get what you pay for, of course. As with my MI speakers (plenty loud enough, but no bass to speak of), this mouse has limitations. The plastic body isn't as smoothly sculpted as the Microsoft model it replaced. And it's symmetric instead of shaped for right-hand use. As others have pointed out, it's smaller than average; if you've got small hands, this could be a plus for you.
The good news: it's been working fine since I bought it. Doing the job, and at a budget price, rates this item 4 stars.

I got one of these, it worked great at first, then died in about a month. Chalked it up to bad luck, got another one, same thing, died in a month. I've tried cleaning it, there's never anything in there, something internal must just give out. Very frustrating. Sometimes, you get what you pay for.
Rating: - Precise and quick, but for a small hand
I have installed this mouse and have previously bought it from CyberRebate. The mouse is precise and quick, it's quite convenient, and did not require any additional installations under Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 1.
The disadvantage of this mouse is that it is quite small, and perhaps for a person like me who would probably fit a brick in a hand, the mouse could have been bigger. I haven't found any other inconveniences, with the price tag on it I suspect it might die sooner, but don't want to predict.
Rating: - Great Bang for few Bucks!
This is a great mouse for practically free! I like the rounded design, which gives an easy, comfortable fit to the hand. Its tracking ball is amazingly responsive too. I bought this mouse as a replacement to my dying one, and was very pleased at the high quality of such a low priced item. It served me well for 3 months before meeting an untimely death when I accidently sent it for a nose dive to a concrete floor. No electronic equipment is built to withstand that kind of abuse, of course, but had it not been for the unfortunate accident, I am sure it would have lasted quite a bit longer. I would love to buy another right now, if they were in stock at the moment. So if you're looking for great quality at rock-bottom price, stock up on this puppy when you can!! :)
