Rating: - Better than an SP
This is the origanal Gameboy Color its not some crappy SP this was amazing due to all the colors on the screen and the size was better than a gamegear for sure. Most of the titles are great and take full advantage of the colors many people say that it's not that great only because there is no backlight,
but who cares anyone remember the Gameboy Light? And how did that turn out, horrible nintendo did mot want to take another risk like that and they were right backlights and graphics don't make a game console
*cough gamegear cough* its the games for the console and these games are awesome so if you want dust off your old library of Gameboy color games go for it youll be sorry if you don't
Rating: - Gameboy Color is Awesome!
The Gameboy Color is awesome! They are very small, so it'll easily fit inside a pocket. It has a huge library of games, like Mario, Zelda, Kirby, and Pokémon. The Gameboy Color takes 2 AA batteries, which last up to 10 hours. It is only $9.99 at Gamestop and EBgames, while the newer Gameboys are $79.99. It doesn't have a backlight like the SP and Micro, but wormlights are only about $5.00 here on Amazon. It plays all of the old Gameboy and Gameboy Pocket games, so you don't have to throw away the games you already have. I fully recommend you to get a Gameboy Color!
Rating: - Still an amazing system
Game Boy's are perfect for the gamers who love games not necessarily for the graphics, but for the gameplay. A D-pad and four buttons was what got the entire world addicted to video games, and some developers stick with it, because the games are still fun.
Now, for those folks who just bought an XBox 360 for the same exact gameplay of an XBox, just at a higher resolution, you may not want a Gameboy. However, if you could play The Legend of Zelda on the NES for a month straight, and still love it like you did back in 1987, then GBC is for you. As you can tell from my reference, I'm a huge Zelda fan. My family had a Nintendo when I was born in '87, so I've been a loyal Nintendo and Zelda fan my entire life. The only games I had yet to play were Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages for GBC. So, a week ago I purchased them online. Now, I have a Nintendo DS, an original fat-style GBA, a GBC, and the first big hulk Game Boy. I take a 45 minute bus to work each morning, so I decided to take either the GBA or GBC (compatibility limits me to these). And this is what I determined:
ALTHOUGH THE GBA HAS A BIGGER SCREEN, the GBC was a better decision. An older game sticks out of the top of the GBA and GBA SP, making it much larger altogether. I had also forgotten how small and thin the GBC system is: It is smaller than the unfolded GBA SP.
Plus, I always prefer playing a game at its intended resolution--I can't stand seeing the graphics stretched slightly.
If you are thinking about going on a trip, and are considering this product to pass the time, I also recommend ordering one of the following games--I guarantee you'll get hooked on this wonderful little system:
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
Pokemon Gold, Silver, or Crystal
Pokemon Pinball
Harvest Moon
Rating: - Game Boy Color
I don't see all the hype in this portable gaming device. The games graphics are so terrible (So is Game Boy Advance). The only good Nintendo graphics is the brand new Nintendo DS which has Nintendo 64 graphics which isn't too shabby. But I really hate the Pocket and Color because it's a waste of money. Why would you get something in black and white with terrible graphics and then get one with only some colors (It's not that good) and plus the addition of bad graphics...now that's what I call a bad deal.
Rating: - great and fun
this isnt bad i have it and it works great i think this is better then alot of older systems like game boy or super nt but still its a good system.
